PRIVACY POLICY.

Data We Collect
Depending on how you use ModWorks, we may collect: (1) account identity data from Discord OAuth (Discord ID, username, display name, avatar); (2) account metadata (tier, subscription state, timestamps); (3) anti-abuse and security signals (device identifier/HWID, IP logs, security check results); (4) billing metadata from Stripe (customer/subscription/invoice references, not raw full card numbers); (5) operational telemetry and error reports (for example, crash diagnostics sent to Sentry).
Why We Collect This Data
We use data to: (1) authenticate users and secure accounts; (2) activate and enforce plan entitlements; (3) process subscriptions and billing events; (4) prevent abuse, fraud, and ban evasion; (5) operate, monitor, and improve product reliability; and (6) comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Hardware Fingerprinting
The desktop application may generate a device identifier (HWID-like signal). This is used for security and anti-abuse enforcement, including ban evasion prevention and license integrity checks. It is not used for ad targeting.
Security Signals
The desktop application may report runtime trust and integrity signals (for example, environment and validation checks). These signals help detect unauthorized builds, tampering, or abuse patterns. Repeated high-risk signals may trigger automated safeguards or manual review.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services including: (1) Discord for authentication; (2) Stripe for subscription and payment processing; and (3) Sentry for crash/error diagnostics. Those providers process data under their own privacy terms. We may also use hosting and infrastructure providers to deliver our services.
Data Retention
Retention depends on data type and purpose. Account and billing metadata may be retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Security and abuse-prevention data (including ban-linked identifiers) may be retained longer where needed for safety, fraud prevention, policy enforcement, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection/restriction for certain personal data. We may deny or limit requests where legally permitted, including where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, payment disputes, policy enforcement, or legal compliance.
Data Deletion Limitations
Account deletion requests do not guarantee full deletion of all records. Where necessary, we may retain minimal identifiers and enforcement records to prevent abuse, enforce bans, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
ModWorks is not intended for children under 13 (or older where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Changes become effective when posted with an updated "Last Updated" date.
